I got into IT by running an MSP, and my work has since spanned operations, development, solution architecture and AI. I also have a background in counselling, which shapes how I approach all of it.
What I’m up to.
I care about building systems that still make sense to the people using them years later. Not just the version that looks good at launch, but the one someone has to look after long after the original project has wrapped up.
These days that means building Sahelay and Emailmetry, writing about what I’ve learned, and helping people and organisations who rely on technology to do good work.
Sahelay and Emailmetry
Sahelay makes sure backups can actually be restored, because an untested backup is an assumption rather than a plan. Emailmetry keeps SPF records manageable as more SaaS tools and apps need a place in them.
